Join the Friends of Bach
The Friends of Bach is a volunteer organization whose mission is to support CONCORA’s performances of the works of J.S. Bach and to “enhance and inform the audience’s understanding of Bach and his music.” Through a series of concerts and fundraising events, and the donations of individual Bach lovers, the Friends of Bach raises funds to underwrite CONCORA’s annual Bach concert. Signature events include the ClavierFest, a fall concert featuring music of J.S. Bach and his contemporaries, performed on an array of Baroque keyboard instruments; the Keyboards of Bach, a hands-on event where participants can explore the harpsichord, clavichord, organ, and other keyboard instruments important in Bach’s time; and Wine, Jazz & Song, an elegant evening of fine wines, delectable hor d’oeuvres, and jazz songs and standards from the American Song Book, artfully interpreted by the Sir William Trio and several CONCORA vocalists. Following CONCORA’s Bach concert, members of the Friends of Bach are invited to a private Champagne Reception with the musicians. The Friends of Bach welcome new members at any time, with membership at $100 for an individual and $150 for a family.
