Your financial support makes CONCORA sing!
CONCORA would not exist without the generous support of our many patrons and friends. Income from ticket sales only meets a portion of our operating budget, and declining support from government and foundation grants makes your support vital to our musical and educational endeavors. We invite you to take advantage of any of these opportunities to support and sustain fine choral music in our community.

Friends of Bach
The mission of CONCORA's Friends of Bach is to support CONCORA’s performances of the works of Johann Sebastian Bach and to enhance and inform the audience’s understanding of Bach and his music. Through a series of concerts, fundraising events, and memberships, the Friends of Bach committee raises funds to provide substantial support for the annual Bach concert performed by CONCORA, soloists, and orchestra. The Richard M. Coffey Fund for the Advancement of the Choral Arts
CONCORA, Connecticut’s first all-professional choir, was founded in 1974 by Richard M. Coffey at South Church in New Britain, and continues to be regarded as the finest professional choral ensemble in Southern New England. In recognition of Maestro Coffey’s unique vision for the creation of a professional choral ensemble to set the standard for the choral arts in Southern New England, and in recognition of his artistic leadership under which CONCORA has fulfilled that vision, CONCORA’s Board of Directors established in his honor The Richard M. Coffey Fund for the Advancement of the Choral Arts, for the principal objective of providing support for commissioning of new works, innovative programming, educational outreach, and other special artistic projects. Most recently, the Fund supported a commission from Connecticut composer Ellen Gilson Voth; the new work, Of Distant Skies, was premiered by CONCORA at the Art & Music concert on February 12, 2017. Sponsorship
Big ideas need big support. Your sponsorship will directly enable CONCORA to offer more concerts to a wider audience. Sponsorship of fundraising events defrays costs, allowing a greater portion of the proceeds to be directed to musical and educational programs. Your underwriting of scholarships for young singers in our Summer Festival enables us to welcome a larger number of aspiring musicians. For more information about sponsorship opportunities, contact CONCORA at [email protected].
Planned Giving
Many of CONCORA’s listeners have been with us since our founding, over forty-five years ago. Your planned gift to CONCORA is an excellent way to ensure a strong future for CONCORA. All planned gifts will be invested in the Fund for the Future. Please contact CONCORA at [email protected] for more information.
